Assignment 2C - Group Project to create an Event for our Movie Aqualantis

On ground event (Aqualantis Snorkeling Scavenger Hunt Contest)

Our last and final project, the on ground event which involves a software called Google sketch-up which we are just starting to familiarize with.

We are to build a stage and setup on sketch-up and render it plus photoshop it into the real setting where our event would be held at Sunway Lagoon.

Azra one of our group member volunteered to do the Google sketch-up, Azra as well, come up with a detailed line of activities that will happen on the event at Sunway Lagoon, specifically on the event launching day, Suet Yee would be making an itenary for the event and also agreed to work on buntings, banners and backdrops to promote our movie in Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Pyramid. Fydah volunteered herself to go to Sunway Lagoon to take pictures for the the event but unfortunately the pictures that she took, majority can be use due to bad angles.

We have no choice to retake it at Sunway Lagoon. During that day, we have decided to have only 2 people to go in Sunway Lagoon to take pictures. So we voted on it and it decided that me and Ariff are going to take the pictures in Sunway Lagoon. Below are the chosen raw picture before edit into our on ground Aqualantis event.

Without wasting any time, Suet Yee task was to come out with banners, buntings and backdrops for the on ground event. Below are the on ground banners and buntings

After collecting all the necessary images and all the design prepared, now is Azra turn to help us on our Google sketch-up to sketch a 3D chairs, tables, booths, bunting stands and others that is necessary to put into our on ground event. Below are the example that we sketch in Google sketch-up and render in Indigo Renderer.

After long hours of rendering in Indigo Renderer, finally we have all the necessary interiors to Photoshop into our pictures to make it realistic as if its a really event happening. Below are the events on ground at Sunway Lagoon, edited by Ariff, Azra and Suet Yee using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

 

After round of discussion again, we have decided to also promote our event in Sunway Pyramid to spread the awareness about the event and to get the people to boost-up their excitement. Below are some image that Suet Yee and Azra have taken in Sunway Pyramid and edited through Photoshop to make it look as if its happening. 

After pouring out our best effort on this assignment, we can truly say that we are proud of ourselves that we can achieved this kind of result.

Throughout the whole course for this class, Entertainment Design, I can say that I have learn a lot about the entertainment industries, on how graphic designers can be involved in this industries and the importance to be involve in this industries. With high hopes, I can used this skills in the future or maybe being involve in the entertainment design industries.
